Triumphant

So here's the thing I live smack bang in the middle of Canada.  Not a place you would really associate with Brit Cars. Winnipeg is becoming a very diverse city, with many cultures prevelant. The Peg does have a long car loving history.  The long summer nights, you only have to go to Downtown Portage Ave. to witness many a car cruising down the Ave.  Mostly muscle cars with big wheels and lots of chrome.  Now don't get me wrong I think they are alright, but they really don't do it for me.  Chrome for me is a little A35 badge on the bonnet, or a touch of silver around a Mini badge. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess!  Well, hopefully you are not asleep just yet!  Well let me just say that, two weeks ago my wife and I attended  a wonderful car show hosted by the Triumph Drivers Club of Manitoba. Triumphs being the main staple of the cars on show with a delightful selection of Minis and Austins to name but a few and also a lovely Morris Minor. The cars brought back many a happy memory. The time and effort that goes into keeping these beautiful vehicles on the road is a credit to their owners.  So the next time someone mentions Winnipeg......you know it's right in the middle of Canada and for one day in July the British cars came out to play.
